The Pink House was an iconic sight on the way to Plum Island. I was always curious about its history - who had lived there? How long had it stood abandoned? Who painted it pink? Why on earth was it in the middle of the salt marsh??

I always found the house to be thought provoking and beautiful, and was sad to see it demolished, though I understand and respect the goal of habitat restoration of the salt marsh.
